Track Of The Month Straight From The Floor Recommendation - April 2012

April was a challenging month in that new opportunities surfaced that required some careful thought about the music selection and to whom the audiences would be

Even managed to bag a old Hardfoor remix which is most unusual however when pitched down a notch or two sounded very sleazy a just right

However it's the remix of Beaches by Steve Mill and Luke Fair that Peter Horrevorts has done that's stood out most amongst all the mid paced deep house, disco and acid house this month and  makes "Track Of The Month Straight From The Floor" for April
Another funky affair that although connected to "Deep House" is far more inclined to lean towards a  "chuggy"soulful disco vibe. After a low key intro the track bursts into life early on announcing it's arrival with a healthy degree of personality and sense of occasion. There's restrained use of female vocals which are supported with the presence of a great funky guitar (nothing over powering though) Clever horn usage and string arrangements just after the mid point breakdown with solid filters used sparingly only go to enhance the overall delivery of Peters remix. This worked a treat when transitioning from the earlier part of the evening into more attention grabbing territory. Top draw "Nu Age Funk" with an authentic yet up to date feel. LOVE IT !
