Loved playing back rooms years ago, the pressure was usually off and the expectation was always firmly rooted in creating a nice alternative to what was going off in the main room that particular evening
Sadly not many clubs run with a back room vibe down our way anymore and to be fair most of what gets played these days serves well in one room sessions on our local disco scene anyway
However if the chance to play some music in a down low environment were to present itself this mix would probably represent what we would serve up in opposition to a more driving front of house approach
Lots of disco, boogie and funk enthused runnings on this mix as we take a more retrospective approach with some favorite tunes blended as apposed to beat mixed in an attempt to recreate a session based on variety as apposed to a continious beat
It was also a pleasure trying to imagine what the whole presentation side of mixing would of been like if one was using fairly rudementry equipment like that of the original jocks pre computers, cdjs and technics
Here's what's we included, be it in original untouched state or re rubbed, hope you get the drift and general idea
