As usual lots going on musically with all the major venues doing their thing in the name of the celebrations with plenty to get stuck in to from Friday onwards
So with this in mind here's a little nod in the general direction of what's caught our attention and where you may find us and some of our friends playing music at various times over the weekend
Apologies in advance if there's anyone or anything missed out on this brief snapshot of things to do. Here goes then, this is where some parties will be going on that cater for anyone that follows our blog and is coming to town this weekend ... happy dancing !!!
Friday Night
DSD at Ohso Social - Mixed party down on Brighton Seafront just near the West Pier. Look for a massive mirror ball. A great team of residents that will be joined by special guests on the night
Saturday Day
Calabash Tent at Preston Park - You'll find us playing up at the festival in our favorite tent on the park from midday. Lots of music that comes from a black perspective so expect not that much in the way of banging house ect ect
Neighbourhood - Funky Garden Party on St James Street run by the old Ocean Rooms Team featuring local house music djs well into the night
Brighton Rocks - Outdoor street party in the heart of Kemptown. Slightly more commercial on Saturday rather than the Sunday party which has Justin Robertson playing. Sunday is a little less hectic than Saturday's party
Saturday Night Time
Above Audio - Us again, this time playing upstairs at Audio from midnight as we carry the party on after the venues all day terrace party. Expect a changed venue layout we've been told. The club downstairs will also be open for a more headsdown minimal / deep house thing with the residents
DSD - Back again at Ohso Social for their 2nd party of the weekend. By this time the vibe will be a hedonists dream !!!
The Fortune Of War - Nick The Record playing outdoors on Brighton Beach, weather permitting. One for the local heads and underground party people into disco and dancing with like minded folk. We'll be headed here for the final hour after our Audio set finishes
Sunday Day
Brighton Rocks - Outdoor Street Party feat Justin Robertson and local djs. Always a winner on a Sunday with a more laid back vibe taking control of the day
Sunday Sundae - Above Audio outdoor party which is lots of fun and ties up the weekend superbly. This is where anyone still going normally ends up for a few hours after Brighton Rocks finishes around 8pm
